Report: how did shared bikes, scooters and mopeds survive the pandemic in Poland?
2020 summary quarter by quarter
The pandemic created in 2020 a particularly difficult environment for shared means of urban transport in the so-called micromobility, i.e. city bikes, e-scooters and electric mopeds rented per minute. In some periods, the decline in the mobility of Polish residents reached 55%. Still, the supply of the aforementioned city bikes and electric mopeds decreased to a much lesser extent - by 33% and 19% respectively. Meanwhile, the supply of electric kick scooters has doubled – according to another publication in from the “Mobile City Analysis” series.
The published report is the result of our monitoring of the micromobility market in Poland throughout 2020. The results of the analyzes are published every quarter with comments on the SmartRide.pl portal, which specializes in the subject of micromobility, as part of the joint Strefa Danych(eng. data zone) project.
